The Mountaineer Sweater. Designed by me with high mountain adventures in mind. It is hand knit with bulky merino wool, which means that it is buttery soft and insulating. The yarn is sourced from South America and hand dyed. The color of this sweater is more accurately depicted in the later photos of the listing. It is a beautiful pink with sage green and deep pine green accents on the top.
 
This sweater was knit in my home of southeast Idaho. We live on property that was my husband's grandfathers ski area in the 70's, making it the perfect testing grounds for winter sweaters. 
 
This sweater is sized as a large, but the beauty of hand knit items is the stitches will settle to whatever size you need it to be. It was designed to fit over a jacket or coat, long enough to cover whatever layer you have underneath. In the first two photos of the listing, I am wearing the sweater over a light down jacket, so it will stretch to fit as you wear it over time - and it WILL last a long time.
